Guerrero is a state of Mexico, located south of Mexico City. It is bordered to the east and south by the states of Oaxaca and Veracruz, to the north by Puebla and to the west by Morelos and Mexico City. The capital is Chilpancingo. The state has coastline along the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of California (Sea of Cortés). Its orography is mountainous with high elevations. It has long coastlines along both sides of the Balsas River and in Lázaro Cárdenas; however, beaches are also found along some estuaries of the gulf coast. The Balsas River crosses much of Guerrero’s territory, as well as part of Oaxaca’s border with Puebla. Its climate varies from tropical to temperate, with areas of tropical rainforest that present temperature variations between seasons. Guerrero’s average annual temperature is 22°C, while the average annual rainfall is 800 mm.
The most beautiful beaches of Guerrero
Agua Dulce Beach
Agua Dulce is one of the most popular beaches in Guerrero. Here you can enjoy the sun, swim and relax with friends or family. On weekends, it is common to see people from different parts of Mexico, as well as local residents, enjoying Agua Dulce beach.
Aguacate Beach
Aguacate beach is located in Guerrero, not far from Taxco. It is known for being a great place for surfing and also a hot spot for diving. The hot springs and two nearby rivers make this beach special because they supply water to people during the dry season.
Bonfil Beach
Just 15 minutes from downtown by car or cab, Bonfil Beach is one of my favorite beaches in Guerrero. Bonfil may not be as famous as other beaches on Mexico’s Pacific coast, but it has plenty of sand and surf, and fewer crowds than other nearby beaches like Caleta de Campo or Bahia de Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo.
La Ropa Beach
Although Mexico has many popular beaches, one that is not often mentioned is La Ropa. This beach is located in the town of San Agustin de Tlacotepec de Mejia, which is in the state of Guerrero.
Larga Beach
Larga Beach is a great place to visit if you have time. The beach is clean, safe and beautiful, with palm trees on the shore and two large rocks in the water known as Los Gemelos. Here you can snorkel or scuba dive to see coral formations with tropical fish swimming around, or just relax on the beach with family or friends sipping a cold beer from one of the nearby bars.
Las Gatas Beach
Las Gatas beach is located in the town of Zihuatanejo, Guerrero. It has white sand and clear water with views of the surrounding mountains. The best time to visit Las Gatas beach is from October to May. The water temperature is perfect for swimming during this period.
Majahua Beach
If you are looking for a relaxing time, Majahua beach is the place to go. The beach is located in Guerrero, Mexico and is a great place to relax and sunbathe. Whether you want to lay on the sandy beaches or participate in many activities that are available in this place.
Revolcadero Beach
If you are looking for a fun, family-friendly beach in Acapulco, Revolcadero Beach is the place to be. Located just south of the city, this beach has something for everyone: opportunities to snorkel with tropical fish and sea turtles; kayak tours along the coast; or just relax on your own private lounger while listening to music from nearby vendors.
Ventura Beach
If you’re looking for a beautiful beach, Ventura is the perfect place. The water is clean and the sand is white. There are also plenty of restaurants and hotels offering everything from traditional Mexican cuisine to American favorites like hamburgers and hot dogs.
