Pi Beach is a small cove, located about 600 meters from the center of Portbou, with a rocky appearance and composed of small pebbles and at the foot of a steep cliff. It is the first beach accessible by land on the Costa Brava starting from the north. To access it we will have to follow the path of Ronda, passing previously by the beach three platgetes and walking about 200 meters we will reach our destination. Between these 2 small coves, we will find another tiny cove in which we are surprised by the existence of a source of fresh water flowing from the Pyrenees: La Font de Bleu-i-Tapa.
We will have to be careful with the access and have good footwear because we will have to go down a slope of stairs and slopes of up to 40 meters. This cove, about 30 meters long and only 10 meters wide, is a totally unspoiled and natural paradise that does not have any kind of service, hence its low occupancy rate even in summer. One of the most curious attractions of this cove is the existence of several underwater caves such as the Cueva de las Ratas, de les Freses, Foradada, Xamuixa or the spectacular Cueva de los Piratas, where we even find a small beach if we go into it. It is an ideal area for diving and where nudism is allowed.
