Past the urbanization Somocuevas, town of Liencres, there is a magnificent geological formation. A thick wall of rock that juts out into the ocean. Behind this beach, a cliff as an isthmus connects the rock with the Cantabrian coast. Under the feet of this natural link we have two fantastic beaches, Somocuevas Beach on its western side, and Arnía Beach on its eastern side. This last beach is only a few meters long, with a shore composed of large rocks and fine sand. It is the perfect place if you want to enjoy the morning sun, since in the afternoon it is impossible and you will have to move towards Somocuevas.
During the journey towards both beaches we will be able to enjoy magnificent views, once we leave the car we will have to descend on foot for a footpath that borders the cliffs. The entrance to its shore occurs from the beach of Somocuevas, to do it by any other not signposted way is really dangerous and it is totally discouraged to do it. Therefore it is not accessible to everyone. Due to its difficult access it has become a destination where to practice nudism. Also due to its rugged relief it is a favorable place to practice scuba diving and discover the secrets of its seabed. It should be added that there is no parking area as such, but you have to park on the side of the road Bo. la Casera.
