La Cocina Beach in La Graciosa: Information, Webcam, Weather and Map
Following the road through the south of the island, and leaving the bike parked in the parking lot enabled, we will find about 4km walk with the wonderful beach of La Cocina, also known as Montaña Amarilla because it is located at the foot of this volcano as imposing as beautiful.
This volcano has a circular path, simple and short, which can be accessed at the top where we will offer the best panoramic views of all La Graciosa. If our legs are still strong enough and we are well hydrated, it is a highly recommended place.
We must leave our rental bike parked, as it is impossible to continue due to the amount of sand that we find on our way, and the sign that forbids us to continue with it because we are entering a protected Natural Park.
Once we are in the vicinity of the beach, we will realize how well we have done leaving behind the bike and respecting the signs, as we have to access it down some steep and cobbled slopes.
Undoubtedly we are before an idyllic and unusual landscape, where we can enjoy its white sand and crystal clear waters. In them we will be able to practice submarine sports to know the great quantity of flora and fauna that coteja. The ocher colors of the slope of the volcano contrast with the turquoise blue of the sea, creating a beautiful picture in a magical setting.
As a curious fact, on the way to this beach, we can see how there is an elderly man who is building his house with his own hands and as if it were little tranquility that inhabits this island, this man is looking for his corner of absolute peace.
Another detail to take into account, is that in this beach we can find a corner of shade, under the slope of the volcano itself or in the rock formations that reach the sea, located on the left side of this photo.
