Dénia has a total of 12 beaches, divided into two geographical groups: Les Rotes, to the south, and Les Marines, to the north. Of all the beaches of Denia, 4 have been awarded the blue flag, so they could be considered the best in the area, but the diversity offered by the area gives different styles of beaches to enjoy.
The numerous beaches of Denia attract year after year numerous tourists. However, they are not the only attraction of this Mediterranean coastal town, as it has a large number of sites of tourist interest, largely due to its long history. The main monument of the city is its castle, located in the highest area of the city, which served as a fortress in another era.
Denia contains some of the best beaches in Alicante, and is one of the most remarkable places in the Valencian Community. We cannot forget the beaches of Valencia which, together with the beaches of Castellón and Alicante, form one of the most important coastal areas of the peninsula.
Blue flag beaches in Dénia
As we have already mentioned, the town has up to 4 blue flag beaches, which technically make them the best beaches in Dénia (although the others also have to offer). All 4 are contained in the large northern area, Les Marines, which is equally well known for its usual winds, ideal for water sports.
Les Marines beach
It is the beach of sand that gives its name to the entire northern group, as it has more than 2,500 meters long, and is perfect for family tourism. It is usually quiet and its amplitude offers a plus of comfort.
Punta del Raset Beach
Another of the beaches of arena perfect to go with the family, as it is the closest to the urban area of the city. It has numerous services and restaurants, as well as sports areas for volleyball and soccer. Some of the most interesting activities in Punta del Raset are paddle surfing or kayaking. It is the only beach for dogs in Denia, as it allows access with canine companions in one of its areas (in the area of the Escollera Norte).
Les Bovetes beach
With an extension of 1800 meters, it is another of the best options when going to the beach in Denia. Like the other beaches in the area of Les Marines, it is of an ideal sand for recreational use.
Els Molins Beach
One of the beaches with the most beautiful sunset in the area, as well as one of the largest beaches in the city. Like all the previously mentioned beaches, it has the Blue Flag, awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education.

Other beautiful beaches in Dénia
This tourist town has 8 more beaches, which we have not yet named, and which offer, in some cases, alternative characteristics to those offered by the most visited beaches in the city:
- If you are looking for sandy beaches in Dénia, the alternatives to the main options are the beaches of L’almandrava and Les Deveses, in Las Marines, and the beach La Marineta Cassiana, located in Les Rotes.
- On the other hand, if your interest is focused on pebble beaches, Les Rotes is the ideal area for you. It offers crystal clear waters, ideal for diving, as it is located in a Marine Reserve rich in life. The Dénia coves are also located in this area, and are quite attractive alternatives.
