The Cabo de Gata, located in the municipality of Níjar, Almería, is one of the best preserved natural enclaves of the Mediterranean, full of countless beaches and coves that are carefully taken care of. The beaches of Cabo de Gata are numerous and of quality, partly due to the extension of its coastline, in addition to offering a great diversity of options and landscapes.
The natural site to which it gives its name (Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park) gets its precious value from the contrast with other Spanish coastal regions, full of excessive urbanization. This area, for its part, has opted (for one reason or another) to promote the care of nature and try to keep the space as intact as possible, despite tourism.
It should be noted that Cabo de Gata contains some of the best beaches in Almeria, although it is not the only remarkable coastal area in Spain. The beaches of Murcia, quite close to Almeria, are also highly regarded, as are the beaches of Cadiz.
