L’illa Roja Beach owes its name to a beautiful reddish rock nestled at the beginning of the shore and that gives it a different aesthetic touch to the others. It has a length of about 120 meters by 20 meters wide and is divided into two different areas. It consists of coarse golden sand and bathed by turquoise waters and very clean. As in almost all these coves, which are very narrow, its landscape is very changeable due to the tide.
It is a beach where nudism is allowed, so we should not be surprised if we see someone without a swimsuit. It does not have any kind of service, so we will have to come with water and food if we want to spend the day there. The access to this beach is made from the road to Ronda by a flight of stairs with a steep slope. If we are looking for tranquility and enjoy an idyllic setting in Begur, this is the perfect beach.
