What to do in Akumal Beach in Tulum?
Akumal Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico and it is also one of the best places to see turtles. To get there you have to go from Tulum on highway 307 towards Cancun-Tulum. After about 2 km you will find a sign that says Akumal and there is an entrance on your right side. Follow this road until you reach a bridge over Akumal Beach after another 4 km.
The beach has good conditions for swimming as it is not very deep (maximum depth: 1-2 m), but due to its proximity to Cancun airport, it should be avoided in case of heavy flights as they could affect visibility due to water pollution caused by aircraft fuel emissions.

There are some considerations to take into account when planning your trip. The main factor is the weather, as it can be very hot and humid during the summer months (May through October). Weather patterns also vary greatly between seasons, so check the forecast before booking your flight.
