There are some considerations to take into account when planning your trip. The main factor is the weather, as it can be very hot and humid during the summer months (May through October). Weather patterns also vary greatly between seasons, so check the forecast before booking your flight.

Where is it and How to get to Akumal Beach in Tulum?
Akumal is located in Tulum, Quintana Roo. Tulum is a beautiful town on the Caribbean coast with many tourist attractions and a lively nightlife.
To get to Tulum from the Cancun airport you can take a transfer for about $40 USD or a shuttle service for about $15 USD per person (each way). Once you arrive at the bus station in Playa del Carmen, it takes about 20 minutes by cab to get to Akumal beach. If you prefer not to use cabs, public buses run frequently between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, as well as between Playa del Carmen/Akumal and other parts of the Riviera Maya, including Cancun airport (if you want to fly directly to Cancun).
