Half a kilometer from the town of Liencres, down the cliffs of the Cantabrian Sea we find the Portío Beach. There where the rock wall disappears to give entrance to the ocean we find this spectacular beach. It is a small beach of fine sand no more than 150 meters long and located on one of the sides of the bay facing west. A place that gives a feeling of shelter, almost like a large bathtub. This perception is due to the fact that the beach is surrounded by high walls of natural rock and also because of the views it offers, a look facing the other end of the bay.
The beach is not very crowded in high season, only occasionally visited by residents of the neighboring urbanization. The area has good accessibility so it is possible to go down by car to a few meters from the shore. It should be said that there is no parking area as such, you must park on the edge of the road.
