Nuevo Portil Beach in Cartaya: Information, Webcam, Weather and Map

At the mouth to the sea of the Piedras River and at the foot of the town of Portil we find a wide region of fine golden sands dotted with white shells with more than 1,600 meters long called Portil Beach or Nuevo Portil Beach. The vegetation makes an appearance in this wasteland colonizing the natural dunes that act as a barrier between the urbanizations and the shore. Facing it we can see a long point called Punta del Gato, accompanying the extension of land is the beach of Nueva Umbria, a long tongue of sand.

The beach is characterized for being a natural entrance to the different nautical ports that rest along the mouth of the river. It is common to see the coming and going of small boats plying the waters of Cartaya.

Among the activities offered by the site we find at our disposal schools of Kayaks, Kitesurfing, Paddle and Surf. If on the other hand we want to enjoy the waters in another way we can always rent a motor boat. The options are limited to the ocean, the environment is crossed by several routes through pine forests that offer the experience of soaking in such a wonderful natural environment.
