In the town of Bakio, where the waters of Estepona Ibaia meets the Atlantic Ocean, we find the beach of Bakio, one of the longest beaches and farthest from the capital of Bilbao. A coast of 980 m. of fine sand with a relative width of between 130 or 35 meters depending on the tide.
A quiet and enjoyable environment for the whole family with all the amenities that a cozy town with a beach can offer, walks, parks and gardens. Accompanying the tour are typical Basque restaurants. A town that in itself is worth a visit to taste its gastronomic culture.
A versatile and flexible beach that offers many other possibilities. Anyone who visits the place can develop typical activities of the area, such as surfing, canoeing or beach volleyball. A swell full of peaks of rights and lefts, the waters are divided into three zones, the west zone with a powerful right that only breaks on big days, El Callejón and Peñas Rojas bathed by quality waves that are responsible for the bottom of sand and rocks.
