The Silencio beach, also known as El Gavieru, is a paradisiacal beach that, not being located near a large population center, is not yet overcrowded and continues to be, despite its beauty, a semi unknown beach for tourists. Its name comes from the impressive cliffs and islets that protect the beach and make its waters are calm and quiet.
It is a beach of about 500 meters in the shape of a shell, with little sand and clear pebbles, so it is advisable to wear appropriate shoes. Thanks to its crystal clear waters, Playa del Silencio is ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving. Besides being able to enjoy the incredible scenery from the beach, near a paid parking lot located at the top of the beach, is the Mirador de la playa del Silencio.
Like the beach of Gulpiyuri, it is also part of the Protected Landscape of the Eastern Coast of Asturias, and does not have any services. It can be accessed by leaving the car parked at the top, and walk about 10 minutes to the beach through a pedestrian access.
