Where is it and how to get to San Carlos Beach in Chiapas?
To get to San Carlos beach, you can take a bus from the main city of Tapachula (travel time: 2 hours). Most people choose this option, but if you bring a car or a motorcycle, it is also possible to go on your own. From the Tapachula airport (about 45 minutes), take highway 186 in the direction of Palenque until kilometer 97, where there will be signs for San Carlos beach.
Once on highway 186, follow the signs to Playa Azul/El Paraiso until kilometer 110, where there will be another sign for Playa Azul/Playa San Carlos. After that follow the road until kilometer 117 where there will be another sign after which it is just a short distance along an unpaved road until you reach Playa El Paraiso at kilometer 126 or San Carlos at kilometer 132 according to Google Maps directions.
