You can also climb up to a lookout point from which you can contemplate the bay of La Paz and beyond, as well as Isla de las Muñecas, on the southern coast of Mexico, a place worth visiting if you have time.

This beach is one of the most popular in La Paz, so there are many places to stay along El Sargento beach. Prices range from really cheap shared rooms to more expensive beachside condos.
If you want to stay near the beach, you should book early because some hotels fill up quickly during the high season (December through March).
